专利说明:

The invention relates to a device and a method for creating a transition between a sanitary device (e.g. a shower or bathtub) and a building wall surface.
In the meantime, when assembling a sanitary device, such as a shower or bathtub, a connecting tape or tub tape is often used, which ensures a tight transition between the sanitary device and a building wall surface. In Fig. 1, a corresponding installation situation is shown using the example of a shower tray 1. This shower tray 1 is mounted here in a corner 4.3, which is formed by the building wall surfaces 4.1 and 4.2. The building wall surfaces are generally provided with the reference number 4 here. The shower tray 1 can have a brickwork or tub cladding 5, as shown.
In Fig. 2 a section of a typical installation situation is shown. In FIG. 2, the position of the connecting tape 6 can be seen, which extends along a frame of the shower tray 1. The connecting tape 6 typically ends in the area of the corner 1.3 of the sanitary device 1. Here moisture can penetrate into the wall behind it. The corresponding area is referred to here as the critical area kB and is indicated in FIG. 2 by a circle.
It is now a matter of providing a solution that enables this critical area kB to be sealed securely, reliably and permanently.
This object is achieved by a device according to claim 1 and by a method according to claim 8. Advantageous refinements are contained in the respective dependent claims.
The device of the invention is specially designed for mounting between a sanitary device and a building wall surface, wherein the sanitary device comprises a vertical surface (for example in the form of a tub frame) which forms a corner, and wherein the device comprises: - a connecting tape that so can be connected to the vertical surface and the wall surface so that it forms a watertight transition between the sanitary device and the wall surface when connected, can be connected, o that it is arranged in the area of the corner of the sanitary device between the vertical surface and the wall surface, o that it overlaps a section of the connecting tape, o that the sealing-adhesive strip forms an adhesive connection with the connecting tape, and o that a section of the flat carrier material s forms a flange which is designed for applying a sealant.
The method of the invention is designed for creating a watertight transition between a vertical surface of a sanitary device and a building wall surface, the vertical surface of the sanitary device forming a corner. The method of the invention comprises the following steps, which are carried out prior to the assembly of the sanitary device in front of the building wall surface:Providing a length of connecting tape,Gluing the connection tape along the vertical surface so that it ends in the area of the corner, characterized in that the following steps are also carried out:Providing a corner closure device with a flat carrier material and a sealing adhesive strip,Gluing the corner closure device by means of the sealing-adhesive strip in the area of the corner so that the corner closure device is between the vertical surface and the building wall surface,Positioning the sanitary device along the building wall surface so that the vertical surface extends parallel to the building wall surface and that the connecting tape and the corner termination device are located between the vertical surface and the building wall surface,Applying a sealing compound to the connecting tape, the corner closure device and at least one area of the building wall surface in order to protect the building wall surface against subsequent water exposure.
In all embodiments, one of the following materials can be used as a carrier material for the corner closure device. Combinations of the mentioned materials (e.g. as multi-layer carrier material) are also possible:Fleece,Knitted fabric,Tissue,Clutch,Fiber mat,Foil.
In all embodiments, for example, a butyl adhesive can be used as the materials of the sealing adhesive strip. Combinations of several materials (e.g. as a mixture of materials) are also possible. Instead of a butyl adhesive, a hot-melt adhesive, acrylate adhesive, acrylate foam or MS polymer adhesive can also be used in all embodiments.
In all embodiments, the adhesive sealant strip can also be supplied separately from the carrier material and attached to the carrier material in a suitable position.
In all embodiments, a sealing slurry, liquid sealant, tile mortar, tile adhesive, can be used as a sealing compound.
In all embodiments, the corner closure device can be designed for embedding in sealant on both sides. In all embodiments, however, it can also be provided with an adhesive layer (covering the entire surface area if possible) on the back of the carrier material in order to be able to glue this onto a seal on the wall surface.
The invention can also be applied to other installation situations in which, for example, a bathtub or shower tray is mounted parallel to a wall surface.
Further details and advantages of the invention are described below using exemplary embodiments and with reference to the drawing. Please note that the drawings are not to scale. In particular, the thicknesses of the various elements are not shown in real relation to one another. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a typical installation situation; 2 shows a schematic perspective view of the corner area of a typical installation situation; 3A shows a schematic perspective view of a first embodiment in an exploded illustration, only the corner area being shown; FIG. 3B shows a schematic perspective view of the embodiment of FIG. 3A after the connection tape and the corner termination device have been assembled; FIG. 3C shows a schematic perspective view of the embodiment of FIG. 3A after the connection tape and the corner termination device have been partially covered with a sealing compound; 4 shows a schematic front view of a further embodiment of a connecting tape and the corner termination device; 5 shows a schematic perspective view of a further embodiment after the connection tape and the corner termination device have been installed.
In the following, information on location and direction are used in order to be able to describe the invention better. This information relates to the respective installation situation and should therefore not be understood as a restriction. In order to better limit the location and direction information, a reference to the wall (also known as a vertical surface) is sometimes established, in which, for example, an element close to the wall, a surface facing or facing away from the wall or an assembly parallel to the wall is mentioned.
The invention is described below with the aid of a few exemplary embodiments.
It is a matter of device 200, which is designed for assembly between a sanitary device 1 and a wall surface 4 on the building side. FIGS. 3A to 3C show a first embodiment of the device 200 when it is mounted on a water-conducting or water-draining sanitary device 1 (here in the form of a shower tray 1). FIG. 3A shows a schematic exploded view and FIG. 3B shows an intermediate step in the assembly. 3C shows a further intermediate step in the assembly.
The sanitary device 1 comprises a vertical surface 1.1 which forms a corner 1.3 (cf. Fig. 3A). In the example shown, the vertical surface 1.1 is part of a tub frame. This tub frame is here essentially formed by the circumferential vertical surface 1.1 and by the horizontal surface 1.2 pointing upwards. The circumferential vertical surface 1.1 here forms four corners, one corner of which is denoted by the reference symbol 1.3.
The device 200 comprises a connection tape 6 (e.g. a tub tape) which can comprise a sealing-adhesive strip 6.1 on its side facing away from the wall. On the wall side, the connecting tape 6 can comprise a further sealing-adhesive strip (not shown), or an upper strip-shaped area of the connecting tape 6 can be designed for embedding in a sealing compound 20 (e.g. a sealing slurry). There are numerous different designs of the connecting tape 6. Ultimately, the details of the connecting tape 6 are not important. It is only important here that the connecting tape 6 can be connected to the vertical surface 1.1 and the wall surface 4 in such a way that it forms a watertight transition between the sanitary device 1 and the wall surface 4 in the connected state.
According to the invention, a corner closure device 10 is used, which comprises a flat carrier material 11 (e.g. a fleece) and a sealing adhesive strip 12. The corner closure device 10 is designed in all embodiments so that it can be connected to the connecting tape 6 and the wall surface 4, andthat it is arranged in the area of the corner 1.3 of the sanitary device 1 between the vertical surface 1.1 and the wall surface 4,that it overlaps a portion of the connecting tape 6 (i.e. the corner finishing device 10 sits either behind or in front of the connecting tape 6),that the sealing-adhesive strip 12 forms an adhesive connection with the connecting tape 6, andthat a section of the flat carrier material 11 forms a flange 13 (see FIG. 3B) which is designed for embedding in a sealing compound.
3C shows an intermediate step in the assembly. As indicated, an area of the connecting tape 6 and the corner closure device 10 has already been coated with the sealing compound 20 (e.g. a sealing slurry). The sealing compound 20 can be applied with a (toothed) spatula 30, as indicated in FIG. 3C.
As already mentioned, the device 200 comprises a connection tape 6 (e.g. a tub tape) and a corner closure device 10. FIG. 4 shows the connection tape 6 and the corner closure device 10 in a further exemplary embodiment. Both elements 6 and 10 are shown to scale side by side in order to better show and describe the relative proportions.
In all embodiments, the connecting tape 6 can have a sealing-adhesive strip 6.1 on the front side (i.e. on the side facing away from the wall), which typically extends along the lower longitudinal edge of the connecting tape 6, as shown in FIG. The dimensions of the connecting tape 6 are defined by the height c and the (strip) length L. Fig. 4 shows only a short length section.
In all embodiments, the corner closure device 10 can have a sealing-adhesive strip 12 on the front (i.e. on the side facing away from the wall) which typically extends horizontally. In the embodiment shown, the dimensions of the adhesive sealing strip 12 are defined by the height a2 and the length b2.
The corner closure device 10 can have a rectangular basic shape in all embodiments, the dimensions of the carrier material 11 being defined by the height a and the length b.
In all embodiments, the carrier material 11 can have a horizontal cut or a horizontal perforation 14, as indicated by way of example in FIG. This cut or this perforation 14 allow a second flange 13.1 to be folded out of the wall plane (see also FIG. 5).
Preferably, the corner closure device 10 is characterized in all embodiments by one or more of the following features (see also Fig. 4): a) the flat carrier material 11 (eg a fleece) has a rectangular shape, which is defined by the edges a and b is defined. b) the connecting tape 6 has a height c which is smaller than the height a of the carrier material 11, i.e. a> c. c) the connecting tape 6 has a length L which is defined by the side length of the water-conducting or water-draining sanitary device 1; d) a is greater than or less than or equal to b. e) L is greater than b. f) the adhesive sealing strip 12 can be attached centrally or eccentrically in relation to the height a on the carrier material 11 (FIG. 4 shows an eccentric position by way of example). g) the carrier material 11 has a vertical edge distance a1 between its lower edge 11.1 and the lower edge of the sealing-adhesive strip 12 (cf. FIG. 4). The edge distance a1 in all embodiments is less than or equal to the height of the masonry or tub cladding 5. h) the carrier material 11 has a horizontal edge distance b1 between its right side edge 11.2 and the right edge of the sealing adhesive strip 12 (cf. . The edge distance b1, together with the edge distance a1, defines the size of the flange 13 in all embodiments. I) The carrier material 11 can have a horizontal cut or a horizontal perforation 14 in all embodiments. In FIG. 4, such a cut or such a perforation 14 is indicated by a double line which runs below the sealing-adhesive strip 12. j) The length of the cut or the perforation 14 is preferably shorter than the edge length b. k) If the carrier material 11 does not have a cut or perforation 14, in all embodiments it can have a horizontally running marking or a grid in order to simplify the manual cutting into the carrier material 11. l) the flat carrier material 11 is preferably coated or structured on both sides in such a way that it can be embedded in a sealing compound (e.g. a sealing slurry).
The method for creating a watertight transition between a vertical surface 1.1 of a sanitary device 1 and a building wall surface 4 preferably comprises the following steps. It is assumed that the sanitary device 1 has at least one vertical surface 1.1. As can be seen in the figures, it is often a circumferential vertical surface 1.1 which forms a corner 1.3 (or four corners in the example of a shower or bathtub). The following steps are carried out before the installation of the sanitary device 1 in front of the building wall surface 4 (to be precise, parallel to it) (the steps mentioned do not necessarily have to be carried out in the order described, the lower case letters are only used here to better identify the individual Steps to be able to refer to: a. Providing a length L of a connecting tape 6. If the shower tray has an edge length of 100cm, for example, then a length L = 100cm is selected 1), then the connecting tape 6 is typically attached around the corner. In this case the length is L = 2 x 100cm. B. Gluing the connecting tape 6 along the vertical surface 1.1 so that it ends in the area of the corner 1.3 ( as shown in Fig. 2).
The method of the invention is particularly characterized in that the following steps are also carried out: c. Providing a corner closure device 10 with a flat carrier material 11 and an adhesive sealing strip 12. If the adhesive sealing strip 12 is protected by a (peel-off or liner) film, this film is peeled off. d. Gluing the corner closure device 10 by means of the sealing-adhesive strip 12 in the area of the corner 1.3 so that the corner closure device 10 is located between the vertical surface 1.1 and the building wall surface 4. A distinction is made here between two options. Either the corner termination device 10 is positioned between the connecting tape 6 and the building wall surface 4, or the corner termination device 10 is positioned between the vertical surface 1.1 and the connecting tape 6. The first possibility is shown in FIGS. 3B, 3C and 5, since this is preferred. e. Positioning the sanitary device 1 along the building wall surface 4 (or in the corner of the room, cf. Fig. 1) so that the vertical surface 1.1 extends parallel to the building wall surface 4 and that the connecting tape 6 and the corner closure device 10 extend between the vertical surface 1.1 and the building wall surface 4 are located. It is important to ensure that the connecting tape 6 and the corner closure device 10 (or the carrier material 11) run essentially parallel to the wall. If a connecting tape 6 with a wall-side adhesive is used, the connecting tape 6 can be fixed to the building wall surface 4 with this. f. Applying a sealing compound 20 to the connecting tape 6, the corner closure device 10 and at least one area of the building wall surface 4 in order to protect the building wall surface 4 against the later action of water. In FIG. 5, an example is shown during the application of the sealing compound 20 with a (tooth) spatula 30. Optionally, the masonry or the tub cladding 5 can also be coated with sealing compound 20. In embodiments (as shown in FIG. 5) that have a 2nd flange 13.1 (also called a side flange), this 2nd flange 13.1 is embedded in the sealing compound 20 of the masonry or the tub cladding 5 (preferably embedded on both sides).
Optionally, in all embodiments, before or during the gluing of the corner closure device 10 (step d.), A cut 14 can be made parallel to the sealing adhesive strip 12 (for example with scissors) in order to create a 2nd flange 13.1 ( Side flange) as shown in Fig. 4.
Optionally, in all embodiments, before or during the gluing of the corner closure device 10, the carrier material 11 can be torn open a little along a pre-existing perforation 14 in order to define a second flange 13.1 (side flange).
Optionally, in all embodiments, when applying the sealing compound 20 (step f.), Both sealing compound 20 on the wall side of the carrier material 11 and / or on the building wall surface 4, as well as on a side of the carrier material 11 facing away from the wall, can be applied to the corner closure device 10 thus to be able to embed in the sealing compound 20 on both sides.
